For the family in time of Need.

Dear family and friends,

As I humbly write this letter, I hope that we can all find comfort in this time and that the spirit will help me say something to aid and lift one of you. Last night as the President of the mission called me to let me know of the passing of one of the greatest men I know, my Grandpa Wally, I couldnt believe what I was hearing. I couldnt really think, I couldnt really breathe, and for that moment I felt as though the Lord had abandonded me in the moment I needed him most. But in fact, he didnt. My companion, Hermana Koyle, and my old Companion, Hermana Taquichiri held me through those moments of fright, frustration, and sorrow. I want you to know that you all have the same help. You have eachother. You have eachother to cry to, to comfort, to lift, to strengthen. Please do this. Please take care of one another. Have charity, have love, have strength. But there is somebody greater than all of us humans here. That is our Savior Jesus Christ. I studied all night the atonement to try and comprehend how I could find comfort. I found this scripture that seemed to lift me up. In doctrine and covenants 138:12-15.

12 And there were gathered together in one place an innumerable company of the spirits of the a just, who had been  faithful in the testimony of Jesus while they lived in mortality;

 14 All these had departed the mortal life, firm in the hope of a glorious resurrection, through the grace of God the  Father and his Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

 15 I beheld that they were filled with ajoy and gladness, and were rejoicing together because the day of their beliverance was at hand.

 I KNOW without a doubt that my Grandpa is among those people who were faithful and with a testimony. Grandpa would want us to follow firm with a hope of a glorious resurrection through the atonement that we might live with him again. That we shall see him again and that we shall rejoice together soon. I am so unbelievably grateful for the knowledge I have of this gospel. That I get to spend forever with my family. That the bands of death here on earth do not break our relationships. I am so grateful for the covenants of the temple, baptism, and the santa cena. Through these we can live again in the presence of God and his son with all of our families.

I want you all to know how much I love you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. There is nothing better than knowing that even though I cant be there with you all to comfort you that my best friend, Jesus Christ, is doing more than I can and that he is with you. I also know that my Grandpa is with each of us. That he is helping us. He is watching us from above and he is going to help us.
 30"But behold, from among the righteous, he aorganized his forcesand appointed bmessengerscclothed with power and authority,and dcommissioned them to go forth and carry the light of thegospel to them that were in edarkness, even to fall the spirits ofmen; and thus was the gospel preached to the dead."

He is doing his work from above. He will help us with his power and authority. I pray that you all can feel the Saviors presence during this week. I am so grateful for all of you. For the plan the savior has for us as a family. God be with you all until we meet again.

All my loves and hugs.

Hermana Veater
